Meet Danny

Danny grew up in the tiny town of Damon, Texas on a small cattle ranch south of Houston, and is the youngest of two brothers and one sister.

Before moving to Utah, Danny was a Visiting Assistant Professor and Program Manager of Computer Information Systems for the University of Houston's College of Technology. Danny re-designed and re-wrote the curriculum for the IST/CIS program during his time with the University while his wife, Dr. Tory Goode, attended Optometry school.

Previous to that, he worked as the Distance Education Coordinator for Wharton County Junior College where he designed and implemented dual credit/concurrent enrollment programs with many of the local high schools. He has also worked as a professional trainer.

He has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston-Victoria and a Masters Degree in Business (MBA) from the University of Texas-Dallas.

He lives in Heber City, UT with his wife Dr. Tory Goode, his two daughters Fallon (9) and Mika (5), and son Russell (7).

Currently, Danny is the Financial Coordinator, Office Manager, American Optometry Association (AOA) Certified Paraoptometric, and all-around-everything-as-needed person for Mountain View Family Eyecare - a small family-oriented optometry practice where his wife is the doctor.

Danny began serving as a member of the Wasatch County Library Board of Trustees in July 2012. In December of 2013 Danny began hosting a friendly interview and community events radio program on local station KTMP 1340 AM in Heber City which he suspended in March of 2014 to run for Wasatch County Council.

On January 5, 2015 Danny was sworn in as a Wasatch County Councilman representing the Heber North District.
